Rome - The Eternal City Our journey started in Rome, the capital city of Italy. Rome is a city that's steeped in history, with its ancient ruins, stunning architecture, and vibrant streets. Our first stop was the Colosseum, an iconic symbol of Rome's power and glory. As we walked around the amphitheater, I couldn't help but imagine the gladiators and wild animals that once battled inside. We also visited the Pantheon, a temple dedicated to all the gods of Rome. The engineering marvel of the dome-shaped roof is awe-inspiring.

Florence - The Cradle of Renaissance

From Rome, we took a train to Florence, the city of art and architecture. Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance, and it's evident in the city's numerous museums, art galleries, and architectural marvels. Our first stop was the Uffizi Gallery, home to some of the most famous works of art in the world, including Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus." Our next stop was Venice, a city like no other. Venice is known for its canals, gondolas, and romantic atmosphere. We took a gondola ride through the canals, admiring the colorful buildings and ornate bridges. We also visited the iconic St. Mark's Basilica, a stunning example of Byzantine architecture. The intricate mosaics and gold leaf decoration were breathtaking.

Amalfi Coast - The Jewel of the Mediterranean

Our final stop was the Amalfi Coast, a stunning stretch of coastline along the Mediterranean. We rented a car and drove along the winding roads, stopping at picturesque villages and hidden beaches along the way. We also visited the famous town of Positano, with its pastel-colored houses and winding streets. The highlight of our visit was the hike to the top of the Path of the Gods, a scenic trail that offers stunning views of the coastline.
